Getting there

Mana Pools National Park is accessible by air and road. The nearest airport is Harare International Airport, from where travelers can take a charter flight to Mana Pools’ airstrips. By road, the park is about a 6–7 hour drive from Harare, requiring a 4x4 vehicle for the final stretch. The drive offers scenic views but can be challenging, especially in the wet season. Travelers can also access the park via Chirundu, a town near the Zambezi River, with guided transfers available. Another option is arriving from Zambia through Lower Zambezi National Park via canoe or boat. Many safari operators offer fly-in packages and guided tours. While remote, Mana Pools’ seclusion enhances its untouched wilderness appeal, making it a prime destination for adventure seekers.
