Nxai Pan National Park offers a unique safari experience with its diverse landscapes, including vast salt pans, seasonal grasslands, and acacia woodlands. Getting there

Nxai Pan National Park is accessible by both road and air. Located about 140 km northeast of Maun, the park can be reached via a 4x4 vehicle, with the drive taking approximately 2–3 hours. The main entrance is near the A3 highway, which connects Maun and Nata. Due to sandy terrain, a 4x4 is essential, especially during the wet season when roads become challenging. For those preferring air travel, charter flights from Maun or Kasane can land at an airstrip near the park, offering a quicker and more comfortable journey. Self-drive visitors should carry extra fuel, water, and supplies, as facilities are limited. Many safari lodges provide guided transfers, ensuring easy access. Whether by road or air, the journey to Nxai Pan promises stunning landscapes and wildlife encounters.
